Ceramics NZ is proud to announce the open call for The 61st Ceramics NZ National Exhibition. This exhibition will be held at The Arts House Trust at Pah Homestead, 72 Hillsborough Road, Auckland from the 24th of October 2025 – 18th of January 2026.
The opening event will be held on the 23rd of October, 5:30pm – 7:30pm.
Works for The 61st will be selected and judged by our esteemed panel of judges; Moyra Elliot, Peata Larkin and Peter Lange.

SELECTION OF WORKS
- The 2025 awards will be a two-stage process overseen by the judges.
- Entrants may submit two works, up to 3 images per work, one image must depict the full work, the others may be details.
- Entrants must be members of the Ceramics Association of New Zealand (free for 2025). Members residing overseas are eligible provided that you supply a return New Zealand address and cover any customs duty payable and associated import costs.
- Entries must be constructed primarily from clay and be three dimensional. Mixed media is acceptable as long as the main component is made of clay.
- Maximum size is 500mm L x 600mm W x 700mm H for most works. Please contact auckland@ceramicsnz.org if you would like to submit something larger including wall mounted works.
- Entries may be a set/pair, with a limit of 6 pieces and sold as one piece.
- Works will be selected by the judges in the first round from submitted digital photos.
- Artists chosen from the first selection will be invited to send their work to Auckland for final award selection by the judges.
