Otago/Southland July – August
The Otago Potters Group is holding our Annual Exhibition from 16-22 August at the Dunedin Community Gallery, 26 Princes Street, Central Dunedin, Dunedin 9016 . Join us for the opening night on Friday 15 August, 5.30 – approx 7pm. There will be drinks, nibbles and beautiful pottery and ceramics on display. We are very pleased to announce our esteemed judges for the 61st Nation Exhibition – Moyra Elliott, Peata Larkin and Grace Lai. Moyra Elliott Following study in London, UK and some years as a studio potter in NZ exhibiting in NZ and internationally, Elliott taught ceramics studio and history at NZ tertiary institutions and received a Fulbright Award to study tertiary education in ceramics in the USA. Bethlehem Pottery Club Several members have entered “A Potters Mark” collaboration exhibition hosted by Rotorua Potters. Kapiti Coast The Kilns at Te Horo Jenn Leov has taken up a short-term Residency at The Kilns at Te Horo through to the end of June 2025. Jenn is using the residency to experiment with different shapes and methods and “a lot of loose work on the wheel”.
