Tatyanna Meharry’s workshop/demonstration on Sunday, 19th July at 1 pm, held at our clubrooms at Loburn Domain, 154 Loburn Whiterock Road, Loburn.Tatyanna is our guest judge and exhibitor for this year’s exhibition. The cost for this is $20. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain some insight from one of Christchurch’s leading ceramists.

Christchurch born, Tatyanna Meharry is passionate about local earth materials and the way that they can be transformed as a tool to create new narratives around our physical connections to materials and surface within an arts practice. Her work focuses on ceramics as a medium to explore locality and our relationship with the land. She has exhibited widely, teaches ceramics and has been honored to have won the Supreme Award at World of Wearable Art twice.

The Alchemy of Clay

Come and join ceramic artist Tatyanna Meharry to explore the alchemic journey of clay and how it transforms to become the magical material that we potters love!

We will talk about the ancient story of clay through a hands-on demonstration with local materials.

Tatyanna will bring a variety of materials to investigate so that you can produce a small series of ‘touch stones’ for future retrospective moments of clay wonder.

Let’s marvel at how these materials travel through the forces of earth, water and fire!Just bring your curiosity and an apron – This is a hands-on demonstration.
