This month in Auckland the ASP volunteers are out in force with the help of Duncan Shearer to build a new wood kiln. ‘Making a Mark’ is an exhibition by Elena Renker at Public Record in Ponsonby featuring her signature bold and elegant wood fired vessels. The show runs until June 12. ‘Cups, Bowls, Bottles and Friends‘ by Fiona Jack has just finished at Allpress Studio. An impressive body of mostly wood and soda fired pots made over the last three months during Fiona’s residency at Auckland Studio Potters. John Parker’s exhibition ‘Permutations and Combinations’ is on at Masterworks Gallery until June 12 and continues John’s investigation into the handmade/mass produced dichotomy.
