Waikato Society of Potters have been starting to get workshops underway again after delays. Javier Murcia has been giving a three day workshop on simple sculpture, making molds, plaster and silicone. Canterbury Potters have had a very successful exhibition at the Canterbury Museum. They were considerate to those that could not attend and made it accessible on the Net. Members are now working towards their annual Christmas Fair. The enthusiasm in the group continues and they are making good use of the new kiln. Our 60th Diamond Jubilee Exhibition has closed on 20 November. How quickly the time went by! Labour Weekend was action-packed with the opening of the exhibition and other associated events (a guided galleries walk in town and demonstrations at the Otago Polytechnic). Opening night was a bit different under Covid-19 Level 2 rules by having to restrict guest numbers, wearing masks and being unable to offer food and refreshments as is customary. At least we could…
