Ashburton Pottery Group The group has as usual enjoyed the company of getting together with other members and sharing skills. The Ceramics Association of New Zealand is pleased to announce the finalists for the Ceramics NZ 60th National Diamond Jubilee Exhibition. The sixty works included in this year’s milestone exhibition have been selected by Dr Emma Bugden through a two stage judging process. The Hon Carmel Sepuloni, Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage has announced the winner of the 2021 Emerging Practitioner in Clay Award via video message. The $12,000 triennial Award, which was first presented by the Rick Rudd Foundation in 2018, has been established to encourage, foster and promote emerging practitioners of studio ceramics. Our 2022 Touring Potter Programme focusing on large scale sculpture with Carla Ruka is scheduled for Nelson/Marlborough in April next year. These will be three day workshops held across three consecutive weeks. Public talks will also be included in these visits. The programme will be confirmed in November.

KINK is a group exhibition coming up at Thistle Hall that plays with erotica in a variety of mediums from clay to ink and the in-between. The opening on Tuesday 21st includes a pop up art market with more KINK pieces from @broken.nz. The exhibition runs until the 26th.
