The Portage Ceramics Awards will open on December 4th at Te Uru Gallery in Titirangi. This year because of Covid restrictions the awards will be broadcast on Friday 3rd of December, keep an eye on the Portage Ceramics Facebook page for details on how to tune in.

The annual Auckland Studio Potters’ Fire and Clay exhibition and The Big Clay Day Out event have both been cancelled. Some wood, salt and gas firings are beginning to take place at ASP with potters following Covid safety guidelines and the studio is being used with a strictly limited capacity. This will be a quieter December at the centre than the bustle of previous years.

A collection of Auckland potters will hold The Mt Eden Pottery weekend on 11th and 12th of December, 10am-4pm at 16 Carrick Place and 109 Grange Road both in Mt Eden.

Jeannie and Andrew Van der Putten will also have an open weekend on 11th and 12th of December at their studio in Titirangi, email ajvanderputten@xtra.co.nz for details.
