Halswell Pottery Group annual exhibition – Sat/Sun 17/18 Oct at Malthouse Theatre, with guest exhibitor Thomas Strange of Strange Ceramics

A few highlights below for the CANZ newsletter, excerpts from our recent group newsletter.

Our annual exhibition is at the Malthouse on the 17 and 18 October with entries due in by the 29th September for selection. Our selector this year is Thomas Strange.

A documentary on the Group by Frank Film NZ is now available on YouTube and was highlighted in the Press. The Group will have to move by the end of 2028 and is on the hunt for a new location.

In November, we will hold a pit firing planned and a workshop with Jenni Taris.

– Arts Centre Sculpture Festival – Sat 10th till Monday 26th October, daily 10am-4pm, at the Great Hall and North Quad. Many local and national ceramic arts are exhibiting, free entry.
