Coromandel Open Studios Art Tour: October first 2 weeks
  • Production studio open for visitors and Briar van Dort and Paul Cornwall in the Barry Brickell Gallery
  • Firing on our newly build Phoenix kiln on the weekend of 7-8 October and kiln opening on 14 October.
5-day Intensive Throwing Workshop:
  • 16-20 October
  •  20-24 November
Last clay making workshop for this year:
  • 21-22 October
Term 4 Courses start:
  • 8-week Beginners and Intermediate Pottery Course – 24 and 26 October
  • Kid’s After School Art (5-week) – 31 October
Exhibitions in the Gallery in November and December (waiting for more details on these still so maybe better for your next newsletter):
  • Karl Fritsch will be curating an exhibition of work from Barry Brickell’s Collection in the first 2 weeks of November
  • Patricia Brickell 6 November – 2 January

Waiclay

Waiclay announce the opening of entries to our 2023 National Ceramic Exhibition.We have the honour to also announce our selector for this year’s exhibition Greg Daly. Greg has so much experience I do not know where to start but around the world he is known as the Glaze Guru.
Waiclay has also managed to get Greg to hold a 3 day Workshop in Roto-o-orangi at my pottery. This workshop is one not to be missed – we hope to fire kilns during the workshop.
