Notice of the Ceramics Association of NZ Annual General Meeting

This year’s AGM will be held online via Zoom (www.zoom.us/join) on Thursday 2nd of September at 7:30pm. All members will be sent an invitation to join the meeting.

Call for Nominations and Notices of Motion: 

Please send to the Administrator at secretaryceramicsnz@gmail.com or by post to PO Box 14680, Kilbirnie, Wellington 6241 to be received by the closing dates listed below. 

Regional Council Members
These are elected annually from a secret ballot of financial members resident in the region. Nominations must be from full financial members and need not be seconded. They should bear the consent of the nominee and reach the Administrator not later than August 4th.  If more than one nomination is received for a region the Administrator will post voting papers for a secret ballot on August 5th and the results will be announced at the AGM and in the Ceramics NZ e-newsletter on September 30th.

President and Vice President
These are elected annually. Nominations must be proposed and seconded by two financial full members, bear the assent of the nominee and reach the Administrator not later than August 11th. If more than one nomination is received for either position the Administrator will post ballot papers on August 12th and the results will be announced at the AGM and in the Ceramics NZ e-newsletter on September 30th.

Further nominations may be made at the AGM of candidates for any remaining vacancies.

Important Dates:

August 4, Wednesday: Nominations close for RCMs.
August 5, Thursday: Administrator sends ballot papers to concerned members, if an election for any position is needed. Council officers with only one nomination are declared elected.
August 11, Wednesday: Nominations close for President and Vice President
August 19, Thursday: Administrator sends AGM agenda, notices of motion, list of nominees, presidents report and Financial Statements to all members.
September 2, Thursday 7:30pm: AGM
September 30, Thursday: AGM Minutes published in the Ceramics NZ e-newsletter
