McGlashen’s has new owners

The famous Brightwater pottery started by Royce McGlashen has sold to new owners from Christchurch, Josh Jones and Coral Denize. They are in the process of taking over the production from Royce. They will continue making functional ceramics in the Brightwater studio. Royce is teaching the new owners how to ram press, slip cast and hand build his range. Royce will continue to make his own pots too which will be available in the gallery.

Royce McGlashen’s new book

Royce is working on a book about his life, from his early days as an apprentice, to starting his own pottery and the methods he has developed over the years.
