The Great Plate 2025

Featuring stunning 79 works by 80+ artists from across Aotearoa, this year’s event showcased a vibrant mix of ceramics, textiles, painting, sculpture, and more — celebrating creativity, collaboration, and community.

A special thank you to kaumātua Fred Tito for opening our exhibition. It was great to see the gallery so busy for our opening. We want to thank the community for the incredible support this fundraiser has received.

From platemakers, artists, collaborators, Quarry team, exhibition attendees, all who shared the auction online, brought the whanau to view the collection, plate bidders and plate winners, we value your support immenesly. We’ll be sharing updates on how the funds raised help to improve The Quarry Arts Centre as a community space. This year, 100% of proceeds will go toward much-needed upgrades to our Pottery Room – a shared space used by artists, students, and the wider community. Planned improvements include new flooring, cabinetry, drying racks, shelving, and work tables. The exhibition is on until Sat 1st November.
