The Wellington Potters Association exhibition Ceramicus closed this weekend.

Congratulations to Margaret MacDonald winner of the Wellington Museum Premiere Acquisition Award for ‘Antarctic Peninsula’, Julie Harrington Abbots Glaze Award winner for Excellence in the Use of Glaze for ‘Seed Pod’,  Sophie Florence Arbuckle winner of the CCG Award for Excellence in Hand Built Ceramics for ‘Blue Men of the Minch’, Lyuba Zhilkina, winner of the Primo Clay Award for Excellence in Wheel-Thrown Ceramics for ‘Soda Fired Jug 1’, Paola Nigris, winner of the Nelson Pottery Supplies Award for First Time Exhibitor for ‘Entropy’ and to the co-cecipients for He Kōrero Waihanga Uku Award Daphne Dashfield for ‘Tūtae kehua’ and Peter Quin for ‘Taonga Puoro’ and ‘Taonga Puoro 2’. With funding confirmed for our Touring Potter Programme, Carla Ruka is scheduled to visit Taranaki in March 2022. The Gear Homestead Woolshed Potters’ 40th anniversary exhibition “Freedom” at Pataka has also just closed.

Woolshed Potters Cash and Carry has two weekends coming up in December 4/5 & 11/12 December, 10am- 5pm.

As before, some ceramics are also included in Breaking the Bronze Ceiling at the Dowse
